Look Who Found a Home! Abio Helps with East Bay Dog & Cat Rescues
Here’s some good news for gloomy times: Our Abio Cares partnership with ARF, an East Bay dog and cat rescue, has helped more than 25 homeless animals find loving homes!
That includes Princess Jasmine the cat, Cupcake the chihuahua, Buster kitty, and Cyan the mutt with a very long tongue.
Home sweet home!
Every week, Abio Cares posts a photo on social media of an animal sheltered at ARF in Walnut Creek who needs rescuing. We call it "Take Me Home Tuesday."
Abio Cares, a community volunteer project of Abio Properties, launched “Take Me Home Tuesday” in June. As Abio co-founder Linnette Edwards said then, “We find homes for more than just people!”
Really, we're just a bunch of soft-hearted, puppy- and kitty-loving real estate agents, so this partnership makes perfect sense. ARF is an award-winning organization founded by Baseball Hall of Famer Tony La Russa. ARF rescues dogs and cats from kill shelters and matches them with caring human companions. ARF helped more than 2,500 animals last year!
“Partnerships like the one we have with Abio Cares really lets us reach a new audience, which is hugely important when it comes to finding homes for these animals,” says Cole Kuiper, ARF’s marketing coordinator.
You don’t have to wait for “Take Me Home Tuesday” to rescue a homeless animal. ARF has taken in more than a dozen animals from Butte County shelters displaced by the "Camp Fire."
